What We Found in an Amazon Mystery Box: Postum & More — April 30, 2026

This one wasn't a jaw-dropper, but it had some genuinely useful stuff worth talking about. The kind of box where you don't scream, but you nod. Our Amazon Mystery Box this round clocked in at $525.60 estimated retail across 69 total items — though a big chunk of that is bin-bound.

Six Jars of Postum Caffeine-Free Instant Original Flavor, Gluten-Free, Kosher, 8 oz Jar, nonGMO, made of natural ingredients, wheat and molasses — a Real Find

Postum has a devoted following, and we pulled six sealed 8 oz jars at $12.27 each retail. That's a product people actively hunt for — caffeine-free, gluten-free, kosher, nonGMO, and made from wheat and molasses. If you know, you know. These will go fast on the shelf.

Right alongside that, seven kits of Optix 55 Gel Lens Cleaner Kit - Alcohol & Ammonia Free | 16 Ounces (8oz x 2) Eye Glasses Cleaner Gel Spray + 2 Microfiber Cleaning Cloths | Safe for AR Coated & All Lenses, Screens, Electronics at $12 each retail. Seven. Each kit comes with two 8 oz bottles and two microfiber cloths — safe on AR coatings, glasses, screens, electronics. Solid everyday item, and we've got a stack of them.

Rounding out the notable finds: a 30pc Bronze Hooks: Wall Mounted Coat Hooks with 60 Screws for Bedroom/Entryway/Closet/Kitchen/Office set, still sealed — the kind of thing someone's always mid-project for. Plus a pack of Swisspers Premium Cotton Rounds 100% Pure Chlorine Free Cotton, Dermatologist Tested, Soft, Strong, Sensitive Skin Safe, Absorbent, Hypoallergenic, Cruelty-Free, Paraben Free, 100 Pads, and a USB Lightning Charger for iPhone rounding out the small stuff.

The rest of the box — 53 pieces of bin-labeled inventory — is heading straight into our store bins here in Hot Springs. Clothes, accessories, odds and ends. Worth digging through if you're a regular bin-day shopper.

Not every Amazon Mystery Box rewrites the record books. This one's steady, practical, and priced right — and those seven Optix 55 kits alone make it interesting.
