Most boxes make you work for it. This one led with its best card: a sealed DC Universe: Black Canary 2nd Ed. Bishoujo Statue from Kotobukiya, retailing at $178.63. That single piece more than tripled the cost of the box before we'd pulled anything else out.

Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line is a big deal in the collectibles world — these are detailed, limited-run statues that sell out and stay sold out. Finding one sealed in a liquidation box here in Hot Springs felt a little unreal. It's already on our shelf and it will not be there long.

The rest of the box was a genuinely odd mix, which is half the fun of this Amazon Mystery Box life. We pulled an EcoNest Area Rugs 2x3 Black and White — a clean, practical little rug at $29.99 retail — right next to a West Paw Zogoflex Toppl Puzzle Toy for Moderate Chewers, which any dog owner around here knows is a solid, durable toy worth grabbing at $14.99.
